'We've a manager parking space, Duncan won't use it' | Seamus Coleman

Everton and Republic of Ireland captain Seamus Coleman has told Off The Ball is no ego associated with interim club boss Duncan Ferguson.

Since the Scot took temporary charge of the Toffees they've won against Chelsea and snatched a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford against Manchester United.

However, Ferguson has dismissed suggestions that he is the person to lead the Merseyside club permanently.

Club captain Seamus Coleman spoke to Off The Ball's Stephen Doyle about the possibility of him becoming the permanent boss:

"I don't want to put extra pressure on him. But, I can only speak about what I've seen in the last week. For me its refreshing to see you know, someone who has that much care for the club. He's a great man.

"He's showed people what it means to play for this football club. He's showed people what this football club is all about. He's a top man. Whether he gets it for a week, a month, six months or even a year whatever the case may be - the players will always leave it out there for him.

"Not really, because at the minute we are where we are in the league. We need to focus on each game, game-by-game. The noise in the background doesn't really become a talking point. Fergie's come in and he's been great. It's been refreshing. We've went game to game and if someone told us last week we would've got four points from these games, from the position we were in it would've been hard to believe.

"The thing about Duncan is, he doesn't want anything for himself. He wants it for us players, which is incredible. There's no ego. I spoke to him a couple of days ago. We've got a team manager parking space and there's no chance he'll park in it."

Next up for the Merseysiders is the chance to get into the last four of the Carabao Cup. They take on Leicester City at Goodison Park on Wednesday.
