For the next two years, much of what will be discussed about and by Martin O'Neill will centre on Ireland's UEFA Nations League commitments and the challenge of reaching Euro 2020.

But in a wide-ranging interview with Joe Molloy, the Ireland manager went off the beaten track to discuss other aspects of his life outside football.

However, he has never been able to get back there.

Getting to Buenos Aires, where his daughter has spent time, as well as visiting other parts of Brazil outside of Rio de Janeiro where he spent time during the Brazil 2014 World Cup, he also hopes to get to Japan once again, having attended the 2002 World Cup final.
