The bumper All Ireland semi final preview

There are All Ireland final places up for grabs this weekend as Dublin take on Galway and Tyrone and Monaghan collide in an all-Ulster clash.

To preview the games, Ger Gilroy was joined by former Tyrone footballer Joe McMahon and ex-Meath midfielder Anthony Moyles.

Starting with Tyrone vs Monaghan, McMahon feels Tyrone will be coming in with momentum after coming through an all-Ulster clash against rivals Donegal in their final must-win Super 8s game.

But he also feels that could also apply to Monaghan who beat an under-par Galway in their final Super 8 game.

"They will have a lot of confidence coming into this game, also with the performances they've shown through the back door and into the Super 8s and they won't fear Tyrone because this year alone, they have beaten Tyrone in the National League and they beat them in the first round of the Championship and they will see it as a massive opportunity themselves to reach an All Ireland final," he said.

Meanwhile, Moyles is tipping Tyrone to see off Monaghan and he explained why he believes that will ultimately be the case.

A dominant Dublin side will be clear favourites to beat Galway but how can the latter pull off a shock result?

"I think they'll pose a greater challenge than a lot of people expect because I think he has been preparing," Moyles said of manager Kevin Walsh.

"He's had a couple of weeks. They didn't have to go and shoot the lights out against Monaghan so it was a situation where I'd say he was maybe not wanting to show his full hand as well. He's a really smart man. I think he's a really smart manager. I think he understands what's required to beat Dublin. Now whether they can go and execute that is the thing because Dublin are ever-changing and ever-evolving."
