Seán O'Brien: "Of course" Ireland can win both the Six Nations and World Cup

As the new season kicks off and we begin the final run-in to the Rugby World Cup, Seán O'Brien has been speaking to Off The Ball.

The Offaly man was in bullish form when asked whether Ireland can target winning both the World Cup and the Six Nations:

"Yeah, of course it is [possible], but you need a bit of luck on your side I think, and to have everyone fit," he told Máire Treasa Ní Cheallaigh.

"It will be tough, there’s obviously going to be injuries, there’ll be people not selected. There will be all those highs and lows as you go through the next 15 months. They are all things out of our control as players. You can only go and play and put your best foot forward and see where we are come World Cup time," he added.

If Ireland were to lift the Webb Ellis Cup next November the Tullow Tank thinks the country will come to a stand still:

"I'd say. Yeah, I'd say the country would go on shutdown for a couple of weeks."
