So after two rounds of action at the Irish Open in Ballyliffin, we are entering the weekend crunch time.
Ahead of the final stretch on the Donegal course, former Team Europe Ryder Cup winning captain Paul McGinley joined Nathan and Joe at Ballyliffin Golf Club’s clubhouse, while South African golfer and World No 60 Dylan Frittelli who is on 1-under after a 2-over round on Friday also popped by.
Frittelli's enjoying the surroundings in Donegal which he described as "stunning" and even popped out for a surf on Irish Open practice day.
"I just felt myself looking around at the horizon just taking it all in and I actually went for a surf that afternoon as well and sitting in the water on my board, just checking out the coastline and checking out the waves and the little island out to see there, it's stunning," he said.
Frittelli also spoke about playing in college with multiple major winner Jordan Spieth at the University of Texas.
"Basically, the synopsis was he came in as a freshman and a highly talented recruit. I'd heard all about him. I'd actually played played the Spirit International tournament in Houston for the top amateurs, the Top 10 or 20 teams from the world amateur qualifier for it and we actually shared a bunk bed together and a few other team-mates," he said.
"I actually had a sense, there's something good about this guy. I managed to convince him to come to Texas and that freshman year and ended up winning the National Championship. I mean, it's probably the second line in my biography."
He added that "it was a pleasure to play" with Spieth and that he's a "good kid".
McGinley asked him what his special quality was in college and Frittelli responded that the American was strongest on the mental side and had a "burning desire to win" even in other sporting recreations outside of golf.
