The last time Dublin and Tyrone met in an All Ireland final, Charlie Redmond and Seamus McCallan were on opposing sides.
And the former Dublin and Tyrone will remain on opposite sides when it comes to who they'll be supporting on Sunday when their counties do battle in the 2018 All Ireland final.
The two joined Richie McCormack on Off The Ball to both delve back into the summer of 1995 when both counties clashed in the finale at Croke Park as well as looking ahead to this weekend's decider when the Dubs will be going for a four-in-a-row and Mickey Harte will be aiming to guide Tyrone to the fourth All Ireland of his tenure.
"I do believe that people talk about Dublin and what's at their disposal and this and that and how can we compete with that. I don't buy any of that, to be honest with you," said McCallan.
"I believe Dublin are the benchmark at the minute because I believe they have more good players than any other team.
"I believe Tyrone are as well conditioned, I believe Tyrone are as good on the ball, I believe Tyrone strategically will be every bit as good but the margins are fine and, whether or not familiarity breeds contempt they often say, someone will beat Dublin. If it's not Sunday, it will be next year or the year after. That's sport, that's life. No one wins forever."
McCallan added that "Tyrone have improved more than any other county including Dublin" and doesn't think there will be much between the teams at the final whistle.
"If I was a betting man...I would back Dublin but the good thing with this Tyrone team is they've got huge belief in their own ability," he said.
Meanwhile, Redmond agreed with McCallan that Tyrone have improved more than anyone else during the Championship.
But his prediction was clear, suggesting a four point win for the Dubs - although given how tough it will be, he'd take a margin of one - but with this caveat: "If Tyrone are going to beat Dublin, they're going to have to get a couple of goals and to get a couple of goals they'll have to commit more players forward than they have in some of the games."
