Christmas is coming... although if you were to go by mere mentions of it and the first snowfalls of TV ads, it probably started before Halloween!

But it's also a nostalgic time of year, bringing back memories of the type of football gifts that ended up under our respective Christmas trees.

Well, Derek Hammond and Gary Silke's The Got, Not Got Football Gift Book: Every Fan's Catalogue of Desires opens a window back to a distant time where Subbuteo and Panini sticker albums ruled the world.
It also offers a history of replica kits as well as the shifting sands as simpler games and toys gave way to early football computer games that have since morphed into the FIFAs and Football Managers that rule the roost today.
Derek joined me on this week's Team 33 to talk me through the book and reminisce. And it's fair to say, it ended up feeling like a time machine to a distant past.
You can listen into the full chat with Derek on the podcast player below or iTunes. But also feel free to tweet us in what Santa FC (AKA your family) left for you under the tree back in the day.
