Zlatan won't be signing for Everton - Ancelotti

New Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti has ruled out signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic and says he had faith in young Italian striker Moise Kean.

The veteran Swedish striker played under Ancelotti at Paris Saint Germain and is a free agent after leaving LA Galaxy.

The Toffees boss says they still have a good relationship but he won't be joining the club:

"Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a good friend of mine. He was my player," he added. "I think he finished his period in the United States and really I don't know what his idea is. I am going to call him, if he wants to come to Liverpool to enjoy, he can come. But not to play, not to play!

"Moise Kean did really well last year. When I was at Napoli I tried to sign him. He signed for Everton.

"He has a lot of talent. We have to consider that he is 19 years old and every player who changed country or team needs time for adaptation. We have to work on him to improve his quality."

Three-time Champions League winner Ancelotti feels Everton already have a squad capable of moving up the Premier League table:

"I think that the squad is good. There is a good mix of experienced players, you can see a sense of belonging, it is a good mix I think. I am satisfied with the squad.

"The first thing is we have really important games in this period. After that we can talk about how we can improve this team.

"The club wants to build a new stadium, the ambition of the club is really high and I am excited to be in this project."
