Zlatan Ibrahimovic could join Manchester United, but only if Louis van Gaal leaves

Zlatan Ibrahimovic says he could join Manchester United when his contract with PSG expires in the summer, but only if Louis van Gaal is no longer at the helm.

Sky Sports are reporting that the Swedish striker has " indicated a willingness" to join United, but his signature with the club could not be sought while the Dutchman is at the helm.

Ibrahimovic has already attracted attention from a number of Premier League clubs interested in his signature, as well as from the Chinese Super League.

Manchester United have struggled for goals this season, so the move for an established experienced striker would be a sensible move.

However, Van Gaal has worked with Ibrahimovic before at Ajax, where the Swede says in his autobiography I Am Zlatan: "He wanted to be a dictator, without a hint of a gleam in his eye. As a player, he’d never stood out, but he was revered in the Netherlands because, as a manager, he’d won the Champions League with Ajax and received some medal from the government.”

The Dutchman's future is already in doubt at the club with a string of poor performances this season, the latest of which saw him lose 3-0 at White Hart Lane yesterday.
