As we say goodbye to Ireland's record goal scorer and most capped player, some of our most famous sports stars are paying their own personal tributes to Robbie Keane.
The Tallaght man first emerged on the international scene at the age of 17 and went on to enjoy an illustrious career in the Ireland shirt. After 145 appearances for Ireland, Keane announced his retirement earlier this month.
And tonight, in front of a home crowd, he signed off with a beautiful strike to bring his overall tally of Irish goals to an incredible 68.
Here's how some of Ireland's most respected sports people have honoured Robbie Keane.
Rugby Walsh (Jockey): "When you talk about Irish sporting greats, Robbie Keane has to be right up there."
Brian O'Driscoll (Former Ireland rugby captain): "To have achieved what you've achieved internationally. (It goes) way beyond the years where the ordinary footballer packs in international football. You continually came back and wanted to play in green. You are passion personified."
Bernard Dunne (retired boxer): "Robbie, it's been fantastic to watch you play over the past few decades, for representing your country and doing what you do best - sticking the ball in the net."
Padraig Harrington (golfer): "We're all so proud of what he's done for Irish soccer. He's set the bar to a new level for the guys coming behind him."
Alan Brogan (former Gaelic Footballer): "His goal-scoring record speaks for itself. It probably won't be surpassed for a long, long time."
