For a while, Ruud Gullit brought "sexy football" to the Premier League.
First at Chelsea, he delivered an FA Cup in 1997 and was sacked with the Blues second the following season.
Fortunately for him, Newcastle came calling at the start of the 1998-99 campaign.
However, arriving at a club filled with senior figures like Stuart Pearce, John Barnes and Rob Lee as well as totemic local hero Alan Shearer, the former Holland and Milan legend's decisions fell flat.
It all came to a head in August 1999 in an infamous Tyne-Wear derby against Sunderland when Gullit did the unthinkable by dropping Shearer and Duncan Ferguson to the cold, hard bench.
But as we discuss in the podcast, something his former Chelsea chairman Ken Bates later said, pretty much explains why Gullit was always destined to fail at St James' Park.
