As we discussed with Tim Vickery on Off The Ball, South American players have gone from being a rarity to making an impact in the Premier League.
None more so than on the top scorer's chart where the top three places belong to Sergio Aguero (Argentina), Diego Costa (Brazil) and Alexis Sanchez (Chile).
In terms of centre forwards City's Aguero and Chelsea's Costa have 12 and 11 league goals respectively this season.
Of course, they are a completely different type of centre forward both physically and stylically.
Aguero is a penalty area predator whose low centre of gravity in and around the box gives him an advantage one on one with defenders, while Costa is the type who puts himself about and is willing to run into the channels.
Indeed, the Romario comparsions with Aguero grow stronger when one of the Brazilian's ex-Barcelona team-mates Ronald Koeman (the Southampton manager who will be trying to stop him this weekend) is making that point.
Stats only give us a partial picture of a players' worth, but that being said, here's how the two compare:
