Liverpool's 3-0 win over Villareal at Anfield was yet another result to add to their collection of strong results at home in the Europa League.
Away from their home ground, they have failed to record a win against Augsburg, Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund or Villareal, but once again showed on Thursday night that they are a different proposition in front of a crowd of passionate supporters.

The difference in the two teams was much more noticeable this week than it was last week, and the crowd may have played a role in that.
Before the match, both team buses had to make their way through a huge flock of fans waving flags, flares and cheering their team on.

With the game getting ready to start, attention turned to a tribute that from the fans to the 96 victims of the Hillsborough disaster.
With this match being Liverpool's first home match since the inquest found that the fans had been unlawfully killed, the rendition of the famous 'You'll Never Walk Alone' song that is so associated with the club held an extra significance as a result.

Fans around the world celebrated the result afterwards too, but what remains to be seen is how the team will cope against Europa League specialists Sevilla in the final on neutral ground.
