WATCH: Ryan Mason back in training after skull fracture

Ryan Mason appears to be making significant progress in his recovery from a skull fracture which he suffered at the end of January.

The Hull midfielder needed 14 plates inserted into his skull following an accidental clash of heads with Chelsea defender Gary Cahill.

It took just under 10 minutes to remove him from the field and he was later transferred to St Mary's Hospital in London for surgery.

Mason subsequently said he felt 'lucky to be alive' in a statement published on his official Twitter account. He added that he would be 'taking each day as it comes' and 'concentrating on my recovery.'

Almost five months on from that horrific incident, Mason has returned to training. He posted a video on his Twitter account today under the captain 'Back at it.'

In the short video, Mason is running between cones and appears to be in good health.

There is no known time scale on Mason's return to full training, as his club prepare to return to the Sky Bet Championship, one season after earning promotion to the Premier League.
