Zimbabwe was the setting for an attempted recreation of the now (in)famous penalty scored by Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez against Celta Vigo.
While Johan Cruyff was the man who made it famous, the pair performed the routine to perfection against their Galician opponents, even though it later emerged that the pass had been intended for Neymar rather than his Uruguayan team-mate.
In a friendly against Wha Wha FC, Dynamos FC striker Rodreck Mutuma tried to do the same thing as he played a pass to Valentine Ndaba. However, it turns out that Mutuma doesn't have quite the same level of precision in his passing as Messi does, and the ball to Ndaba went a little bit astray, as did the attempted finish.
Dynamos were still able to win by a 4-0 scoreline, so the missed penalty didn't have too many consequences.
