WATCH: Louis Van Gaal admits he's worried about his position after Norwich loss

After another loss in which his Manchester United side struggled, the pressure is definitely on Louis van Gaal.

The Dutchman admitted that his side simply wasn't good enough in their 2-1 defeat to Norwich, leaving United without a win in four in the league.

Speaking to Sky Sports News after the loss, he said that "we know that we have to win against Norwich City, we've won all our games or at least we draw at home", and that the result "was not good enough for us. The players know that, I know that and the board knows that".

<p<>He added that the team will bounce back, but that "we have to work very hard, because you can see what confidence is doing with my players".

Speaking after the match, when asked if he would be backed by the board in the wake of a bad run, he said "it’s not up to me to say about that question, but we shall see".

When asked if he was worried about his position, he added "yes of course [...] because I know that belief in a manager is very important, and when you lose the games you play then the belief in a manager shall decrease".

However, the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss said he felt that he did have the confidence of the squad, and that "I don't think a change of management shall bring direct success - but that is what I believe. Maybe that is not so interesting".

The loss leaves Manchester United outside the top four and nine points behind league leaders Leicester.
