It's reported that Jack Grealish will be offered a new four-year deal with Aston Villa.
According to the Star, the Irish under-21 winger has attracted interest from Chelsea, so Villa management is keen to secure his future at the club.
Grealish, who has made three first-team appearances for Villa, qualifies for the Republic of Ireland squad through his Dubliner father. He also has claim through grandparents in Cork and Kerry.
The winger turns 19 today, and has yet to commit to playing at senior level for Ireland.
Manager Martin O’Neill has spoken of the issue, but says he won’t put too much pressure on the teenager.
I spoke to Irish Daily Star football reporter Mark McCadden, who has been following Grealish’s progression.
