Liverpool stuttered their way into 2016 following a 2-0 defeat to West Ham and it seems that some of the Anfield faithful believe that the defeat is attributable to the ghost of Rodger's past.
Brendan Rodgers was exiled from the club in October of last year and his replacement Jurgen Klopp became an instant hit after signing a three-year deal worth £15m.
There was something almost cathartic about the fact that ex-Liverpool player Andy Carroll was the one to shove the final nail in Liverpool's coffin with a header that put them 2-0 at Upton Park, but it was the former boss who bore the brunt of the social media criticism.
