Former Liverpool star Jamie Carragher is certainly feeling confident that his former stomping ground will dust aside the Manchester United challenge when they meet Liverpool in the Europa League.
Following the draw earlier today, Liverpool were drawn to host the first leg at Anfield and given the historical rivalry cultivated between these two sides, their upcoming clash is causing much intrigue.
United head into this round on the back of an emphatic 6-3 aggregate win against Midtjylland last night with debutant Marcus Rashford netting twice as a last minute addition to the starting line-up. Liverpool on the other hand, scored a 1-0 win over Augsburg to get to this stage of the tournament.

In addition to capturing their famous five Champions League trophies, Liverpool have also won the UEFA Cup in 1973, 1976 and 2001.
Meanwhile, Jürgen Klopp seems to be sharing Carragher's enthusiasm about the game. Reacting to the draw today, he said:
"Obviously it is not easy. But you can ask my staff, when they asked me yesterday 'who do you want?' I said 'Manchester United.'"
"In this round, there were no easy games so we had no chance for an easy game. So we have Manchester United — cool."
