Transfer Talk: James McCarthy looks set for a move to London as Jeff Hendrick prepares for top-flight switch

James McCarthy looks like he will be one of the early casualties of Ronald Koeman's reign.

The Republic of Ireland international was a mainstay in Everton's midfield, under former manager Roberto Martinez, but he looks set to leave Goodison Park in the coming days in a bid to play regular first-team football. Despite reports of a move to Celtic, Crystal Palace looks like his most likely destination.

McCarthy has taken the interest of Palace manager Alan Pardew, after the south-London club were priced out of a move for Newcastle's Moussa Sissoko. The Daily Mirror claim that a move to Palace would appeal to McCarthy, as former Hamilton teammate James McArthur is already in the Selhurst Park midfield.

Jeff Hendrick's days as a Championship player may be numbered. The Sun claim that Hull City are about to make a shock bid for the Derby midfielder, and try and beat Burnley to the signing.

The Dubliner has only played once in the league for Derby this season, but would still be seen as a huge loss to Nigel Pearson's side.

Chelsea look set to offload Loic Remy in the coming days, and he could potentially join James McCarthy, on loan at Crystal Palace.

Remy joined Chelsea two summers ago, from Newcastle United, but has failed to force his way into the team on a regular basis. The French international has been predominantly used as a substitute under Jose Mourinho and Guus Hiddink. Sky Sports claim that Alan Pardew is keen to reunite with Remy after the two worked together at Newcastle.
