Steven Davis scored twice to give Southampton a 2-1 away win at second placed Tottenham.
Spurs, who had drawn at Chelsea on Monday to lose the chance to take the Premier League title race into another match-day, started brightly as Son Heung-Min capitalised on Fraser Forster's hesitation in the Southampton goal to give the home side a 1-0 lead.
But Davis equalised when he poked past Tottenham keeper Hugo Lloris unmarked in the six-yard box on 31 minutes.
And the Northern Ireland midfielder put Southampton in front when his shot from the edge beat Lloris to find the bottom corner of the net.
Southampton are up to sixth, while Tottenham stay second, three points clear of rivals Arsenal who play Manchester City today.
