Tottenham Hotspur have signed a player for the first time in 517 days by confirming the signature of 18-year-old winger Jack Clarke from Leeds United.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has started his summer spending with the acquisition of the highly-rated winger. Clarke will immediately return to Elland Road on loan for the 2019/20 season.
The teenager has put pen to paper on a four-year deal which will keep him at the north London club until 2023.

The youngster made 25 appearances for Marcelo Bielsa's side last season in the Championship, making his bow against Brentford in October before going on to score twice and contributing with another two assists.
The fee is undisclosed but set to be in the region of £10million, with Clarke spending the upcoming season back on loan at Elland Road.
Commenting on the transfer, the York native said: "I'm delighted to sign for such a top club. It's still bizarre, I'm still trying to get my head around it at the moment but it was an opportunity that I couldn't turn down, it's one of the biggest clubs in England, if not the world at the moment."

The transfer of the 18-year-old represents Tottenham's first bit of transfer business since signing Champions League semi-final hero Lucas Moura from Paris Saint-Germain some 517 days ago.
Clarke was voted the Leeds United young player of the year last season as the tricky wide man regularly demonstrated his raw ability. This culminated in a superb individual goal against Aston Villa at Villa Park.
A product of the youth academy at Leeds, Clarke made his first-team debut less than two years ago against Leicester City in an EFL Cup match.
He is Pochettino's first signing in a year-and-a-half and the first of potentially further recruits since Tottenham's Champions League final defeat against Liverpool in Madrid.
