Tottenham fail to put West Brom away to leave Leicester on the brink of glory

Leicester are now seven points clear at the top of the Barclays Premier League with three games to go as Tottenham slipped up to a 1-1 draw at home to West Brom.

Spurs needed a win to reduce the gap back down to five points but missed the opportunity as Craig Dawson's equaliser held them back.

It look far more rosy for Tottenham in the first half when Dawson conceded an unfortunate own-goal from a free-kick by Christian Eriksen after 33 minutes.

Erik Lamela hit the post with a side-footed effort and Eriksen fired just wide as Spurs came close to a second.

But Dawson headed in a corner with 17 minutes to go for the visitors to make it 1-1, which was followed by Tottenham holding midfielder Eric Dier having to be withdrawn through injury after picking up an issue in that challenge.

If Leicester win their next fixture against Manchester United at Old Trafford, the Foxes will win the Premier League for the first time.
