It's that time of year again when Premier League clubs find out whether they can balance domestic and European life.
Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham, Leicester, Southampton and Manchester United were all involved in Champions League or Europa League action.
Liverpool kicked off the weekend by beating Chelsea, but there is plenty of Saturday and Sunday action.
A century of Arsenal dominance over Hull
Guess how many times Hull City have beaten Arsenal in the past century? Well, since 1916, they haven't met many times in the league or cup given that Hull languished in lower divisions.
But their 2-1 win away at the Emirates in 2008 happened to be their first over their more illustrious London opponents since a 1-0 win in a Division Two clash dating back all the way to 1915. To put that in context, that's well before Arsenal's Herbert Chapman era when they first enjoyed major success as a club.
Since 2008 though, Hull have yet to beat Arsenal in any competition as normal service has resumed.
On to more modern matters, Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez likes playing Hull. He has four goals and two assists against the Tigers - his best record against a team in England, as he has four goals and no assists against Leicester.
Watford have rarely stung Man United
Did you know Friday, September 16th, 2016 happens to be the 30th anniversary of Watford's last win over Manchester United. That was 1-0 at Vicarage Road in a Division One clash just two months before a man called Alex Ferguson took over from Ron Atkinson. You might have heard of this Fergie fella!
Watford and United face each other on Sunday 18th and at least the Hornets' last two defeats were within a goal of a side then-managed by Louis van Gaal last season.
