The Weekend In Numbers: Aguero and Benteke have got decent records against their next opponents

As is becoming common now, the Premier League weekend starts a little bit early with the Friday kick-off.

This week, it's Everton against Crystal Palace at Goodison Park to literally get the ball rolling.

Meanwhile, Liverpool and Chelsea travel to Swansea and Hull respectively on Saturday before some big games on the Sunday.

In-form Arsenal take on Burnley and Manchester United host Stoke City but the biggest game of the day is Manchester City and Tottenham's battle in London.

Benteke will look to add to good record against Everton

As a former Liverpool player, Christian Benteke won't be among the favourite strikers in the eyes of Everton fans.

That's especially since the new Crystal Palace forward is also a player that has a decent record against the Toffees.

In just five matches, the Belgian has mustered four goals and two assists against them, although he has only tasted victory against the Merseysiders on one occasion.

Liverpool have the edge on Swansea of late

As Liverpool prepare to face Swansea away, they will be readily reminded of a 3-1 defeat to them in May of last season.

But that was the first time the Reds had suffered a league reverse to them for some time.

In Premier League fixtures, Swansea had been unable to beat Liverpool for seven matches prior to May's game - and only two of those were draws.

So on aggregate, over those games, Liverpool had a 17-6 advantage over that run.

In fact since Swansea's return to the top flight, they have beaten Liverpool just twice in the league.

Aguero haunts Tottenham's defence

Despite missing a couple of games through suspension, Sergio Aguero is still the joint-top scorer in this season's Premier League with five goals.

He is as ruthless as they come in front of goal and one club knows all about that.

On Sunday, City make the trip to face Tottenham and Spurs can't be looking forward to facing Aguero.

While he has 11 goals against Newcastle, the next club on his list of goals scored against is Tottenham.

In just nine matches, the Argentine has scored 10 goals against the North London club.

Of course, it helps if you can score four goals in a single game as he did during the 2014-15 season in a 4-1 victory.
