Tonight, he joined us on the line to talk about what led to Keane's exit from Villa Park.

"There had been tensions and relations between some of the players and Roy Keane have been strained for a few weeks and things came to a head on Thursday. Shortly after that, there was a conversation between Paul Lambert and Roy in terms of what the future holds and whether the players and the club would be best served if there was a parting of the ways," said Young, who says Lambert would have wanted Keane to stay on.
He explained that a text message announcement was sent to the first team squad and Young puts it that "some of them were more pleased than others, shall we say."
Young also added that he is not surprised that Villa have denied claims of a row between Keane and senior players.
But he also feels Keane's workload, combining his roles with Villa and Ireland, would have also been the biggest factor.
