Swansea's Jonjo Shelvey has been charged with violent conduct this evening following an incident in last night's clash against Liverpool.
The ex-Reds midfielder appeared to catch Liverpool's Emre Can with his arm in the 4-1 defeat.
But the Charlton Athletic academy product was not punished at the time by referee Andre Marriner.
Shelvey used his Twitter account to claim that any contact with Can was accidental.
Just wanna say didn't intentionally elbow emre can was just trying to get my arm across to get round him and it's come off as I'm trying to

Raheem Sterling, however, has escaped any punishment as the assistant referee did see the incident involving the Liverpool player and Federico Fernandez.
