In September 1995, Leeds United striker Tony Yeboah scored a brilliant half-volley on his way to a hat-trick against Wimbledon at Selhurst Park.
On that day, Norwegian sports reporter and Leeds fan Magnus Sveen forgot to wear his club shirt - and vowed from then on to never wear his shirt to a game.
Now Sveen's superstitions have finally pushed him to make a huge sacrifice - to quit his job.
In his last broadcast for Norwegian broadcaster TV2, he explains that when he joined in 2001, he was exhilarated to follow Leeds into the Champions League semi-final with Mark Viduka, Harry Kewell and Rio Ferdinand in starring roles.
Now, he confesses that he "hardly knows the names of the players" and that the club is owned by a "mad Italian."
His decision follows the club's recent 2-0 defeat to Derby County. Sveen says he "wants to help Leeds United back to their former glory" and that his career at TV2 "has just brought them bad luck anyway."
