We might have been declaring new Premier League champions today but for now Leicester City will have to wait a little longer.
The 1-1 draw between the league leaders and Manchester United, as well as comprehensive defeats for Manchester City and Liverpool were the headlines from today's cross-channel action.
Shane Long's flying
Sadio Mane scored a hat-trick for Southampton and Kelechi Iheanacho got two for Man City, but Shane Long is who we'll touch on here.
The Ireland striker can sometimes be seen as a scorer of great goals rather than a great goalscorer, but from an Ireland perspective his recent form is exciting.
He opened the scoring for Southampton today to make it four goals from his last five Premier League games. Not only that, but as the top-scoring Irishman in England's top flight, he has now hit double-figures for the Saints this season with 10. That's already his best tally for a Premier League season during his career.
With Euro 2016 around the corner, surely he has placed his name on the starting sheet for the Sweden game at this rate, and with Martin O'Neill trialling a diamond in recent friendlies, he could partner Jonathan Walters up front if that is the chosen system.
Foxes show nose for a result
Leicester have one hand on the Premier League trophy and captain Wes Morgan could have had both of his on it, had they beaten Manchester United at Old Trafford today.
But even though they weren't at their best, the Foxes still came away with a result, cancelling out United's opener thanks to Morgan's header and seeing out the game even with just ten-men in the final minutes - with a bit of luck thrown in.
The skill of Riyad Mahrez and the goals of Jamie Vardy will be the headlines from this season should Tottenham complete the job by failing to beat Chelsea tomorrow, but Leicester's ability to put grit at the forefront has seen them through in many games when they appeared to be about to fall short.
