Broadcaster Bill O'Herlihy retired last night after nearly 50 years in television.
RTÉ put a nostalgic video together to celebrate O'Herlihy's time at the station which nearly brought him to tears.
O'Herlihy covered 49 years of sport which included 10 World Cups and 10 Olympic Games, to mention but a few.
Bill spoke to Pat Kenny this morning about retiring and what he plans to do now.
In his goodbye speech last night, O'Herlihy thanked his amigos who he has worked with for over 40 years, Eamon Dunphy, John Giles and Liam Brady.
"Eamon and I have soldiered together since the 70s, John since the 80s and Liam from the 90s. They have brought knowledge, insight, controversy and regularly and importantly a sense of fun to our coverage"
The Cork man signed off with "So we'll leave it there so. Okey doke, goodnight and God bless."
#okeydoke trended on Twitter as fans said goodbye to Bill and thanked him for the memories.
Here are just a few...
