Friends and teammates of Shetemi Ayetigbo have gathered to produce a beautiful tribute video to mark his one year anniversary of his death.
Mr Ayetigbo, known to his friends as Shay, passed away while playing for Belvedere in a Dublin District Schoolboy League Under-16 clash.
This short video conveys the deep sense of hurt and loss his friends continue to feel following his death. But it also features the players recalling the treasured memories they shared with him during his life.
Some of the contributors talk about the day Shay passed away and how he entertained them all ahead of the game with his dancing.
"In the dressing room before the game we were listening to music and Shay got up and started dancing in front of all of us and made us all smile and laugh. It's a moment that will live with me for the rest of my life," said James Finnerty.
"Shay was a very good player. He was a centre midfield player and was very hard working, very committed and gave 100 per cent every game. I played with Shay for a year at Belvo and never saw him have a bad game. He was always up there with the top five players on the pitch.
"He was a leader on and off the pitch. In the dressing room, Shay was the main character, he gelled the team together."
