As Scott Brown prepares for his Celtic departure, an incredible statistic released by the club has demonstrated just how dominant the club have been during his era.
Fourteen years after joining Celtic from Hibernian, Scott Brown will depart Glasgow this summer after having enjoyed a trophy-laden spell with the club.
Indeed, as he amassed over 600 appearances during a period in which Celtic's primary domestic rivals Rangers endured financial ruin and temporarily ceased to be a feasible competitor, just how laden with trophies it was remains something to be marveled at.
Between 2006/07 and 2020/21, Scott Brown won 10 league titles, six Scottish Cups and six Scottish League Cups. Twenty-two winners medals in 14 years, Celtic did the workings on how this ratio played out.

On average, every 28 games Scott Brown played for Celtic he and the club won a trophy.
Incredibly, Brown never played fewer than 30 games in any of his seasons at Celtic. With his average games per season coming in at around 44, that's not far off two guaranteed trophies every year.
Putting all this into some external context then, Paul Scholes appeared 718 times for Manchester United and won 18 trophies along the way (excluding one-off finals like the Community Shield, etc. which Brown didn't have available to him in Scotland).
Scholes averaged a trophy every 40 games. Ryan Giggs, United's most decorated individual player, averaged a trophy every 44 games for the club.
Meanwhile, Lionel Messi's 769 Barcelona appearances and 20 trophies give him an average of 38 games so far, while Kenny Dalglish - a Celtic and Liverpool legend - won a combined 23 trophies during 853 appearances for both clubs giving him an average of one medal every 37 games.
At one trophy every 28 games then, there cannot realistically be too many professional footballers out there with a better game-to-trophy ratio over such a prolonged career.
Celtic will be marking the departure of Scott Brown in style as he plays his final home game for the club against St. Johnstone next month.
