There was only a single goal at King Power Stadium, where Krkic Bojan secured a win for Stoke.
Second half goals from Marouane Fellaini and James Wilson saw Manchester United overcome QPR, keeping them in the top four for the moment.
Elsewhere, Tottenham enjoyed a 2-1 win against Sunderland, while Liverpool's two goals gave them a win against Aston Villa at Villa Park.
