Roy O'Donovan's first season in the A-League has seen the Cork-born striker awarded with the Goal of the Season award.
The 30-year-old's strike against Adelaide United won the award at the league's end-of-season awards in Sydney. O'Donovan scored seven league goals in his first season with the team.

O'Donovan's award was one of the highlights of the season for the Central Coast Mariners. The team finished bottom of the table, winning only five of their 27 league games.

The former Cork City striker signed a two-year deal with the club when signing last August. With goals like the one scored against Adelaide, there is no reason why O'Donovan cannot lengthen his stay with the Gosford-based side.
