The Ireland setup are unlikely to follow the lead of Wales, who have banned players' partners and families from the team hotel during some of Euro 2016.
Wales manager Chris Coleman says wives and girlfriends will not be permitted to attend their base during the group stage of the tournament in France.
But Ireland assistant boss Roy Keane says they will approach things differently.
"From my own experience when I've been away, my family haven't been too keen to meet up with me. So every family to their own," he said.
"Sometimes they're glad to see the back of you. I think we'll give the players decent freedom and treat them like men."
