Liverpool's underwhelming start to the season continued tonight after a 3 - 0 home defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League.
And Daniel Harris of The Guardian believes manager Brendan Rodgers must shoulder some of the blame for the issues especially when it comes to transfers.
Speaking to Off The Ball after the game, he said: "He's a coach and we can see the job he's done with Raheem Sterling and we can see that he was coaching them really well last season. But his eye for a player looks like it could be a glass one."
Harris also spoke about the transfer committee at Liverpool and how much influence Rodgers would have when it comes to the selection of players.
He also believes that a title challenge like last season is now out of the equation in the near future given the strengthening of their rivals.
