Up until the midway point of the season, Shamrock Rovers had an outside chance of challenging for the SSE Airtricity League title.
Since then results declined, the situation at the club unraveled and the 4 - 1 defeat to Limerick was the death knell for Trevor Croly's tenure at Shamrock Rovers.
The 40-year-old, who had taken charge of the club in March 2013, hinted that the fans may have fed into the decline in player performances.
Roddy Collins and Stuart Byrne were in studio tonight and Stuey believes players should be able to handle any flak from the crowd.
"You're at a club like Shamrock Rovers to perform and win league titles, you shouldn't be there. It's as black and white as that," said Stuey, while Roddy felt that Croly had done "alright" during his time at the Tallaght Stadium.
"He put together a squad that seemed to be okay until the Dundalk game and then it seemed to implode at that stage," he added.
