Robbie Keane's knee injury has altered LA Galaxy's MLS plans at the start of the season, but three-year-old fan Xyla seemed to be affected more than most.
Keane posted a video last week of the girl looking upset because she was not able to see the team's captain in action for the Galaxy for a few more weeks. Xyla's mother even promised that they would make Keane a "Get Well Soon" card to help his recovery.
People in the Galaxy organisation saw the video, which was recorded by Xyla's mother and set up a meeting between the girl and the injured Keane.
The Ireland captain told Xyla that he "will be back soon" from the injury before giving the girl a signed jersey with "Keane 7" on the back. Keane also posed for photos with Xyla and her family and got a poster made by the girl too.
Ireland's record appearance holder and goalscorer is hoping to return to action in the next couple of weeks for his team, with a view to proving his fitness ahead of Euro 2016.
