Riyad Mahrez has been at the core of Leicester City's surprising Premier League title charge this season.
But the France-born Algeria winger thought the Foxes weren't a football team when he signed from Le Havre in 2014 just as they returned to the top flight.
In an interview with FourFourTwo, he admits that he initially thought they played an entirely different sport.
"I didn't know Leicester. In France we didn't really [know them] because they were in the Championship. I thought they were a rugby club," he says.
"I was like: 'I don't know...' But then I came here to see the facilities and they were good. I do not regret signing for them, it's the best club I've ever been at."
Of course, the Leicester he may have been mixing the football club with was rugby union's Leicester Tigers.
