Aston Villa boss Remi Garde could be on the verge of leaving the club after his side suffered defeat this weekend to Swansea City.
Garde, who took over from Tim Sherwood earlier this season, has accrued on two wins in 20 Premier League games and the Midlands club are on the brink of relegation.
The result leaves Villa bottom, 12 points from safety and Garde has already held talks with board members about his future with the club.
Reports this morning indicate that the Frenchman held "extensive talks" with new board member David Bernstein last week with chairman Steve Hollis reviewing the club's dire situation.
The pair met at Bernstein's home and spent two-and-a-half hours together, but Hollis has refused to offer any guarantees over the former Lyon boss' future.

Garde is understood to be unhappy with his failure to do business in the January transfer market, with Villa opting not to sign a player.
The club missed out on signing Seydou Doumbia to join on loan from Roma but the forward opted to join Newcastle instead, Lovre Kalinic's deal collapsed after he was refused a work permit.
