Premier League season could be cancelled if conditions aren't safe - Karren Brady

West Ham's vice-chairperson Karren Brady has warned that the Premier League season could be cancelled if conditions are deemed unsafe.

Arsenal and Tottenham are among the top-flight clubs to have re-opened their training grounds with strict social distancing rules.

Brady says those rules and rigorous testing will be needed if there's any chance of games resuming next month.

"The key here is to make the environment as safe as it can possibly be because we want to be able to restart the games and finish our season," Brady wrote in The Sun.

"To do that we have to be ready - otherwise we'll end up like France, Belgium and Holland, who have all had their season curtailed."

She added that all 20 Premier League clubs confirmed they still want the season to be completed at yesterday's four-hour meeting.

"We all know that it is going to take a lot of working together, good faith, careful thought and compromises if we have any chance of that happening.

"The only common theme from all the Prem clubs is that any compromises have to be fair and uphold the integrity of the game.

"Players and managers have to be key decision-makers on the protocols as there is a long way to go from where we are now to actually getting playing again.

"There are a lot of obstacles to overcome and no doubt many compromises to make."
