Harry Arter has been ruled out of Ireland's Euro 2016 warm-up matches against Switzerland and Slovakia with an Achilles injury.
The midfielder has been allowed to return to Bournmouth for further treatment on the injury while Jeff Hendrick is also struggling with a shoulder problem and may also be sent back to his club, Derby later this week.
Arter, who is enjoying a strong campaign on the field with Bournemouth as a central part of a team staving off relegation, is one of the lead candidates to make the Ireland Euro 2016 squad as a midfield option if fit.
The 26-year-old has one senior Ireland cap since making his debut last June against England.
