Pogba has been 'respectful and professional’ in his attempts to leave United - Agent

Mino Raiola claims his client Paul Pogba has been both 'respectful and professional' and has 'done nothing wrong in his pursuit of a move away from Manchester United this summer.

United's record signing has traveled with his teammates for their pre-season tour of Australia after Raiola announced last week that his client is seeking a transfer away from Old Trafford and that the club is aware of his intentions.

The 26-year-old World Cup-winning midfielder has trained with the squad in Perth, but footage has emerged of a row between Pogba and Jesse Lingard.

New signings Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James and Inter Milan target Romelu Lukaku also trained today as the Red Devils prepare to face Perth Glory this weekend.

"The player has done nothing wrong, he has been respectful and professional in every way," Raiola said in a statement to talkSPORT.

"The club knows his feeling for a long time, it is a shame other people only like to criticise without the right information and I'm also sorry that the club does not take any position against this.

"Hopefully there will soon be a satisfying solution for all parties."

United We Stand writer Andy Mitten told OTB: AM that losing Pogba ahead of the new season could see United turn into a 'basket case'.

"If this tour goes badly, if Manchester United were to lose games against vastly inferior opposition, then the pressure is going to build.

"If United are going to lose Paul Pogba, you're looking at a potential basket case here before the season has even started."

"People heard Solskjaer say that some of these players will not play for him again," explained Mitten, "and then they're seeing them play in pre-season and that doesn't instill confidence.

"Solskjaer doesn't have the bank of credit that the previous managers had."
