It's not unusual for footballers to bring implements onto the pitch to aid them with their celebrations.
Last season of course, Roma legend Francesco Totti indulged in a selfie celebration after scoring against bitter rivals Lazio.
But a Major League Soccer player upped the ante when he brought a chainsaw on the pitch.
In reference to his team's name, Portland Timbers' Nigerian midfielder Fanendo Adi brandished it after scoring against Seattle Sounders.
Timbers keep a log behind their goal at their stadium which their mascot, Timber Joey, cuts with the aforementioned tool.
