If you saw it happen live at the time or have ever watched a video of it since, the image of David Busst's horrible injury against Manchester United is one that you probably can't get out of your head.
It occurred back in 1996 in a match at Old Trafford, as the Coventry player tried to attack a ball from a cross that ended in the worst possible way. The mere sight of the injury was enough to make Peter Schmeichel cover his eyes and apparently vomit, while a number of other players reported that they were deeply affected and needed to seek counselling afterwards.
19 years on, Busst showed off the scars of the 26 surgeries that he had to have to save the limb, and the lasting damage that both the injury and the case of MRSA he contracted afterwards have left on his body.

Speaking to Talksport, Busst said that he still plays five-a-side with his friends and plays Sunday League football (on the same team as Stiliyan Petrov), but still winces when he goes in for tackles.
