Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed that Vincent Kompany will miss tomorrow's Champions League quarter-final second-leg against Paris Saint-Germain.
The City team captain trained this morning with the rest of the squad, but the City boss says that the centre-half is still not "100 percent fit" after a calf injury he suffered last month.
The tie is level at 2-2, but City have the advantage of having scored away goals in the first match in France.
However, City's defence has often proved susceptible when Kompany missing, with Nicolas Otamendi, Martin Demichelis and Eliaquim Mangala all making high profile errors at centre-back this season.
Despite concerns, Pellegrini has signalled confidence in his available centre-backs: "I am confident in my defence as they have played a lot of games in the Premier League and Champions League, and if we have reached this stage it is because we have a good defence."
