Angry fans protest PSG's pursuit of Paul Pogba

A banner stating that Paul Pogba is not wanted in the French capital has been hung outside of PSG's training ground in Paris.

While no group has been forthcoming in claiming the banner as their own according to RMC Sport, that it has been left hanging outside of PSG's training ground suggests some fan affiliation.

As Pogba enters the final year of his contract at Manchester United, it is being widely reported that Paris St. Germain are gearing up to make a move for the French international.

Signed by Manchester United for a world record fee in 2016 after initially departing the club on a free transfer only four years earlier, the 28-year-old's second spell in England has been a mixed bag.

Despite becoming a leading force at international level winning the World Cup with France in 2018, Paul Pogba has found it harder to thrive in the Premier League.

With Paris St. Germain the only club seemingly willing and able to pay United a portion of what they forked out for Pogba five years ago, this negative reaction from fans is a curious one.

The banner reads: "Pogba you should listen to your mother, she doesn't want you here. Neither do we!"

Although it was not assumed that the French midfielder had any longstanding issues with the club or its fans, there is clearly some discontent at the prospect of his joining this summer.
