Palace ready to sell Wilfried Zaha for the right price

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson says the club are willing to allow Wilfried Zaha to leave this summer, but only for the right price.

The 27-year-old was keen to leave Selhurst Park last summer but Arsenal was unable to reach a deal with Palace for the Ivory Coast attacker.

"Wilf has made it clear ever since I came to the club really that he would relish a move and would like to move on and find some pastures new, but he is a very valuable player," the Palace boss said ahead of tomorrow's game against Tottenham.

"The club realises his value and appreciates his value so really it will depend like it always does on what offers the club are going to receive for him and how they will equate that to the need to keep him or the need to satisfy his wishes and allow him to go.

“Quite frankly, I’ve got no answer to that question, it will be all a matter, I guess, of seeing what transpires.”

Zaha was valued at £80m last year and Hodgson feels it'll take a bid in that region for him to depart the club in the coming months:

“I think he should because he’s a very top-quality player, but, as I say, that will be a decision and matter anyway for Steve Parish and the other owners of the club.

“They will have to take any offers into consideration and I’m pretty certain that I will be consulted. At the end of the day the final decision will have to be a club one.”
