Norwich's on-loan striker Dieumerci Mbokani was caught up in the bomb blasts which rocked Brussels on Tuesday morning.
Mbokani was travelling through Zaventem airport in the Belgian capital when the bomb went off in the morning, claiming the lives of at least 14 people.
In a statement, Norwich said that "Norwich City Football Club can confirm Dieumerci Mbokani was at Zaventem Airport in Brussels at the time of this morning's terror attacks".
They added that he was "unharmed but shaken by the tragic events at the airport, in which a number of people were killed or injured. The club is in constant dialogue with Dieumerci, who has now returned home to be with his family".
Belgian players who had joined up with the national team cancelled their scheduled training session this morning, while many of the them took to social media to pay their respects to those who lost their lives.
