Former Arsenal striker and cult figure Nicklas Bendtner is back in English football after signing for Championship side Nottingham Forest.
The Dane joins Forest as a free agent after being released from his contract with German club Wolfsburg. Bendtner signs a two-year deal with the club.
"Nottingham Forest is a big club with a great history and I can see myself fitting in here very well," he told the club's official website.
"The way the head coach plays football was something that spoke to me and I'm very pleased have signed for Forest.
"The club is rebuilding itself now with some very talented players and I look forward to being a part of that. If we reach our targets then it will be an amazing season. The head coach seems like a very professional guy, a man who wants to play football in the right way and who wants to do well.
"I've had a couple of training sessions already, it's a great group of lads right from the coaching staff to the medical staff to the players. They've taken a lot of time to show me everything here at the club so I'm really pleased."
Bendtner managed three goals in 31 league appearances in the Bundesliga and had a public falling out with the club after missing training and had his contract terminated by the club shortly after.
He added: "I think Britt (Assombalonga) and I can form a great partnership. It's important to compliment each other well and I think we can do that. However, there are 11 players on the field who win the game and from what I've seen so far, every member of the team has done well.
"With three home wins from three and two cup victories so far this season the lads have got us into a really good spot. Now we need to continue that good start to the season and push on up the league table.
"Personally, I'm not someone who needs a lot of time to get match-fit but I will need to some to adapt to life at the club. I'll be having a fitness test in the next day or so and after that I'll be ready to go."
